Instructor: Beth deVitry

Skill Level: Beginner

Create a beautiful piece of jewelry with gold accents. Students will learn in to prepare a copper blank for enameling, sifting enamels, underglaze painting, applying gold leaf, sgraffito technique, and finishing. Each student will have at least one finished piece of jewelry at the end of the day. This class is suitable for all levels, no experience is needed. Students should bring a pencil and paper for note-taking and an N95 dust mask.

Please note that a materials fee of $35 is due to the instructor at the start of the class.

About the Instructor:

Beth deVitry is an enamel artist with a studio in Lancaster Pennsylvania. After receiving her BFA from Maryland Institute of Art, she apprenticed with a German-trained goldsmith in Maryland. Working for 25 years at a fine jewelry store as a designer and bench jeweler, deVitry has always maintained her own jewelry practice. A Master Artisan with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, Beth teaches and shows her work on the east coast. https://devitrydesigns.com/

Cancellation/Refund Policy

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen does not provide cash refunds for the cancellation of classes unless the class is canceled by the instructor or the Guild.

In order to request a withdrawal from a workshop, students must contact the Guild by phone at 717-431-8706 or contact us here at least 7 days prior to the class. Students who request a withdrawal at least 7 days prior to the class will receive a credit that can be used toward another workshop. No refunds or transfers will be given to cancellation requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice of the class.

Please note that we are unable to provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts. If you are sick with Covid-19 please email kelly@pacrafts.org.
