Instructor: Cheryl Lampard
Skill level: Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate – Students must be familiar with the basics of knitting including casting on, knitting and purl stitches, and how to increase and decrease.
With the holiday season fast approaching, what could be more delightful than knitting your very own Christmas bauble! Decorate a tree or garland with your handmade ornament, use it as a gift tag, or make one as a special gift for a special someone. Whatever way you choose to use your bauble, it’s a fast and fun make, and we’re willing to bet you’ll want to make more than one! The bauble is designed to be knitted “flat”, i.e. the work is turned after each row, so the class is perfect for knitters who aren’t comfortable knitting small items in the round.
What You’ll Learn:
ď‚· How to make the bauble, using two colors.
ď‚· How to sew up and stuff the bauble.
ď‚· Duplicate stitch embellishment.
ď‚· How to make the bauble hanger.
ď‚· Options for embellishing/decorating your bauble.
Get ready to learn, loop, and laugh with Cheryl Lampard – the Knitter Matters way!
This class is recommended for students aged 16+.
Materials Required: Please bring your own knitting needles. You’ll need a pair of US 7 (4.5mm) straight, single pointed needles.
Please note: A materials fee of $10 per student is due to the instructor at the start of the class via cash or check. Materials pack includes: pattern, yarn, tapestry needle, polyester stuffing, and crochet hook (for bauble hanger). Please make checks out to Cheryl Gibbons.
