Stained Glass Summer Fun – August 4

Skill Level: Beginner – glass cutting experience is helpful but not mandatory.

This class allows you to make stained glass butterflies or stained glass flowers – or BOTH. For butterflies, after a quick refresher on cutting and grinding glass, you will select from among several patterns and from a rich array of glass. Dan will show you how to pin a free-form 3-D object for soldering and how to use wire reinforcement to keep the pieces rigid after completion. To make flowers, participants will be able to select pre-cut diamond shapes from a variety of colors and
textures of glass, and half-marbles for both sides of the center of the flower. You can make single 8-petal flowers or double 10-petal flowers. You may make them to hang, or solder a brass stake to “plant”.
