Instructor: Bob Antonishak
Skill Level: Beginner
Learn to turn a piece of domestic hardwood into a bowl for the first time. You can choose from several different hardwood blanks for your turning experience. No prior experience in bowl-turning is necessary. But, some turning experience is helpful.
The goal of this class is to learn the fundamentals, methods of mounting, and methods of turning a bowl blank. We will be using several bowl-turning tools as an introduction to which tool to use in the turning process. After turning the bowl, sanding and finishing will be the final step to completing and taking home your first bowl.
The instructor will review and establish the safety requirements while in the shop and working on the lathe. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided for this workshop. If you do not have a full face safety mask, a face shield will be provided. Please bring your own eye safety glasses.
All materials are included in the tuition.
