The Yellow-Breeches Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen was organized in the early 1970’s as the Cumberland Handcrafters Guild. Because so many of our members live near and draw inspiration from the beautiful Yellow Breeches Creek, when we were chartered in 1986, we named ourselves the Yellow Breeches Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.

We are a happy mixture of successful artists, dabblers, collectors, instructors, and friends who are all wildly interested in supporting fine handmade craft and art in many ways, but always as cheerleaders for each other. Our membership includes several past presidents of our Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, other PGC officers and board members, winners of Benchmark Awards at our PGC Fine Craft Fairs, and in-demand PGC instructors. We have members who have been featured in national magazines and who have major installations at large corporations, and we have members who are giddy to learn a quick trick in a medium foreign to them. We’re delighted that these groups so often share members. We delight in our mutual respect and friendship. We’re family.
