Instructor: Beth deVitry

Skill Level: Beginner

Learn to make beautiful transparent Cloisonné jewelry. Students will create enamel jewelry using champlevé, cloisonné, and guilloche techniques, layering powdered glass and firing in a kiln. Skills learned will be sawing, fusing, filing, heat flashing silver with a torch, wire bending, wet packing, and sifting enamel. Beginner level is accepted, using a predetermined design by the instructor. Students with experience may submit a design and discuss it with the instructor through email before classes start. A kit fee will be determined during class (depending on the design and the amount of silver needed). The average kit fee is approximately $40-$55. Each student will have a completed project by the end of class!

Materials Needed:  Students should bring paper, pencil and eraser, sharpie marker, preferred magnification if needed (optivisor)

Please note *** A materials fee of $40-$55 is due to the instructor at the time of the class and is dependent on the design and amount of silver required for each project.
