Instructor: Dan Hayward
Skill Level: Beginner
During this one-day workshop, stained glass Master Artisan Dan Hayward will share his techniques for creating “snowflakes” from stained glass. Dan will help you through each of the steps from selecting materials, shaping with a grinder, applying copper foil, positioning the pieces, soldering, and finishing.
Participants will be able to select pre-cut diamond shapes from a variety of colors and textures of glass, a piece for the center of the snowflake and half-marbles to fit between the points. The end result will be a ready-to-hang piece from 5”-6” in diameter which will provide a festive accent in any window year-round. Each participant will create one 5”- 6” diameter snowflake.
